Growing cucumbers in a greenhouse is one of the most popular, as it allows you to significantly increase the vegetable harvest with the same effort.
Therefore, it will be extremely upsetting for a summer resident to notice that cucumbers are starting to wilt.
This will not happen without a significant reason, says Anastasia Kovrizhnykh, an expert of the online publication BelNovosti, agronomist and landscape designer.
Most often, the main reason for wilting cucumbers is the creation of incorrect conditions. Often, greenhouses are too hot. Despite the love of vegetables for warm conditions, too high a temperature can be fatal for them.
In order for cucumbers not to wilt, it is necessary to maintain the temperature at around 25 degrees, if we are talking about the summer period. The thermometer should not fall below 22 degrees. But heat above 28 degrees will already have a harmful effect on the plant.
If we are talking about the night period, the most comfortable temperature is 18 degrees.
