Many summer residents often plan to plant strawberries, which belong to the category of garden strawberries.

This tasty and healthy berry is great for salads or as a snack.

This bush has a downside - the cultivated plant requires a huge amount of attention.

Let's see what the expert of the online publication "Belnovosti" and agronomist Anastasia Kovrizhnykh recommends paying attention to.

Why strawberries are considered to be aggressive plants

Summer residents are forced to take care of garden strawberry bushes, providing them with moisture and fertilizers. They also need protection from pests and diseases.

And you also need to trim your mustache, which grows in huge quantities.

If you don’t trim the runners, then literally within one week, instead of a neat strawberry patch, impenetrable thickets will form in the garden bed.

And in these huge bushes there will be very few strawberries, since all the energy went into forming the thickets.
