Geranium will bloom lushly and for a long time even in winter if you give it two “magic” remedies in the fall.
Anastasia Kovrizhnykh, an expert of the online publication Belnovosti, agronomist and landscape designer, tells us how to feed geraniums for lush and long-lasting flowering.
Firstly, iodine fertilizer helps to stimulate flowering. It is applied once every two weeks.
For one liter of warm water you need two drops of a 5% iodine solution, for one plant – 50 ml of fertilizer.
The second effective remedy is a solution of magnesium sulfate (10 grams per three liters of water). Fertilizer is applied once every two to three weeks.
Magnesium improves metabolism in cells and strengthens their walls. With the help of such feeding, even the most stunted geranium can be made to bloom.
