3 rules for caring for phloxes in autumn: lush flowering guaranteed

If you want to enjoy the truly luxurious flowering of one of the most “autumnal” flowers – phloxes – for as long as possible, do not forget that they require careful care.
The rules for carrying out care procedures for phloxes were shared by the expert of the online publication "BelNovosti", scientist-agronomist, landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh .
1. Top dressing
Fertilizing is the most important step that cannot be skipped.
With the onset of September, provide the plants with potassium sulfate, and in October, sprinkle borofoska on the flowerbed.
2. Trimming
At the end of October, the time comes when you need to say goodbye to the phloxes by cutting off their shoots.
Please note: the cut should be approximately 20 cm from the soil surface.
3. Mulching
Use humus as a mulching material – it will provide plants with reliable protection from frost, and in the spring, when you loosen the soil with humus, you will get first-class fertilizer.
