As soon as the spring period begins, the first pests appear in the garden.

This category includes ants that cause destruction of lawns, flower beds and vegetable plots.

Getting rid of an anthill is quite difficult, as these insects are tenacious and stubborn - gardeners try to avoid using chemicals because of the beds.

Let's look at two plants that can help in the fight against ants.

First of all, these are hot peppers, which you can either buy or grow yourself.

Simply dry the fruit and grind it into powder using a coffee grinder – be careful as fine dust can get into your eyes and nose. Wear gloves and glasses before grinding.

Next, pour the powder into the anthill and scatter it between the beds along the perimeter.

The second plant is fennel. It repels pests, even if simply planted in the beds. You can also make a decoction from it.

To do this, take 200 grams of dry fennel umbrellas, two tablespoons of fennel seeds and one liter of water. Boil, let it brew for several hours and spray the plants with it.
