In June, an important stage begins for onions – the bulbs begin to form, as they should be ready for harvesting at the end of August.

In July, it is necessary to fertilize with fertilizers containing phosphorus and potassium.

An excellent fertilizer option is wood ash and dolomite flour.

To create a high-quality fertilizer, you need to take 1 glass of ash, 1 glass of dolomite flour and 1 tablespoon of potassium monophosphate.

These ingredients need to be mixed in 10 liters of water and the solution poured between the rows - this type of feeding will saturate the soil with calcium, magnesium, phosphorus and essential microelements.

10 days before harvesting, you should carry out a second top dressing with potassium humate - just dilute one tablespoon of this ingredient in 10 liters of water.

By using this simple but effective fertilizer you can increase your yield and get larger bulbs.

Not every gardener knows about the need to add these components to the beds.
