Beetroot is considered an unpretentious plant - it does not require too much attention.

However, to obtain a rich harvest, proper fertilizing in open ground is required.

The reasons for a small harvest may be acidic soil or bad seeds. If the soil is not alkaline enough, it is recommended to add wood ash or dolomite flour.

Beets do not like hard soil – you will have to loosen and mulch it on a regular basis.

The plant loves a lot of moisture - on hot days you will have to water it with plenty of water.

If the beetroot grows unsweet, then the soil lacks nutrients. Fortunately, there are plenty of options for feeding.

It is important to take rotted manure - dilute it in a ratio of 1 to 10 with water. For active growth, you should make superphosphate.

Take a tablespoon of superphosphate and potassium magnesium sulfate, 1 g of potassium permanganate, 0.5 boric acid and 1 teaspoon of urea.

Dilute this solution in 10 liters of water and apply the fertilizer to the plant, then treat with water.
