Probably every summer resident knows that dill can be sown every 15-20 days throughout the entire summer.

Since the seeds of this crop germinate slowly, the expert of the online publication BelNovosti, agronomist, landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh advised soaking the seed material before putting it in the ground, and also spoke about other plants that can be safely planted in the summer.

So, throughout the summer months you can enjoy freshly picked salad – watercress greens will appear within 2 weeks after planting, while leaf lettuce needs about a month.

You can also grow spinach. In this case, as with dill, it is recommended to soak the seeds.

On the 5-6th day, arugula sprouts appear. Please note that the crop requires nutritious and moist soil.

If you plant parsley and leeks in midsummer, you will have fresh greens by the end of the season.

Well, how can we do without onions? Please note: slizun, batun, chives and sweet onions, as well as sorrel and rhubarb, are prohibited from being sown in low-lying areas during summer planting, which are flooded with water in the fall.

These perennials will have time to form rosettes of leaves before the frosts fall on the ground. Closer to winter, do not forget to cover them with a layer of mulch from peat or compost.
