Even experienced winegrowers apply these fertilizers.
To ensure that the vine is strong and healthy, and the bunches are huge, comprehensive care is important.
Relying on one fertilizer will not lead to anything good. The plant needs different components for the development of greenery, roots, vines, fruits.
Expert of the online publication BelNovosti, scientist-agronomist, landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh told how to feed grapes.
1. Nitrogen fertilizers. For example, urea, ammonium nitrate or ammonium sulfate. They help the plant grow and develop faster.
2. Phosphorus fertilizers. For example, superphosphate or phosphate rock. They promote the development of the root system and improve the quality of the fruit.
3. Potassium fertilizers – potassium salts (for example, potassium sulfate or potassium chloride) increase the sugar content of fruits and improve their resistance to diseases.
4. Microelements. For example, boron, iron, copper, manganese and zinc. They help plants better absorb other elements and increase crop yields.
