In order for cucumbers to grow quickly and produce a good harvest, they must be fed when planting.
Anastasia Kovrizhnykh, an expert of the online publication Belnovosti, agronomist and landscape designer, tells us what kind of fertilizer to add to the holes when planting cucumbers.
To make cucumbers grow faster, immediately before planting, you need to put two teaspoons of any granulated phosphorus-potassium fertilizer into the hole.
But the ideal option is a mixture of superphosphate and potassium sulfate (a teaspoon of each fertilizer).
It is also necessary to add 2 tablets of "Gliocladin", this will protect cucumbers from fungal diseases.
To prevent cucumbers from being affected by late blight, regularly carry out preventive spraying, for example, with “Alirin-B”.
