Ash will not benefit plants: what fertilizers should not be mixed with it

23.05.2023 20:55

Ash is popular among summer residents, because at least a couple of handfuls can be found in any household.

This free fertilizer provides excellent results.

Incorrect use

Sometimes gardeners show excessive zeal and turn a useful composition into a threat to all living things.

In some cases, all the benefits are neutralized and the feeding does not bring the desired result.

A negative result can be obtained if you mix ash with a number of other fertilizers.

Useless mixtures

When mixed with phosphorus fertilizer, an alkaline reaction occurs, due to which the compounds become practically unavailable to plants.

In the case of nitrogen compounds (nitrophoska, ammonium nitrate), a reaction occurs during which a significant portion of it evaporates.

Gardeners maintain a 2-week interval between applying ash and other fertilizers.
