Without fertilizing, no vegetable crop will bear fruit as the gardener wants. Even zucchini, which grow well with almost no supervision, require periodic attention.

We will tell you about the main stages of feeding this crop, after which the harvest will simply be in abundance.

Stages of fertilization

Several additional feedings are carried out, starting with planting the seedlings in the ground.

1. After planting the plant in the ground.

2. During flowering.

3. After flowering.

4. At the beginning of fruiting.

All this time, summer residents are free to choose the type of fertilizers they intend to apply.

These can be organic, mineral, complex additives or even folk remedies.

But it is worth understanding that zucchini does not always need feeding.

First feeding

When the first shoots appear, this happens approximately 10 days after the seeds have germinated, you need to stimulate the growth of the shoots.

Nitrogen is added. Organic or mineral additives are used.

If these are seedlings, then a week after transplanting, mineral supplements with nitrogen are added.

Second feeding

It is carried out during flowering. This time it is necessary to add potassium fertilizers. Ready-made additives or ash infusion are used.

Third feeding

It is carried out using complex mineral mixtures, which are made in the required ratio.

And already during fruiting, summer residents advise to harvest more often, but if it is necessary to add fertilizer, then nitrogen should be excluded, and emphasis should be placed on potassium supplements. Superphosphate or urea is used.
