As is known, during the period that begins after all the petals have fallen from the flowering apple trees, the plant needs additional nutrition.

According to the expert of the online publication BelNovosti, scientist-agronomist, landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh , this requirement is explained by the fact that a sufficient amount of nutrients in the soil is directly related not only to the quantity, but also to the quality of the harvest: in this case, apples will have increased shelf life.

How to fertilize apple trees after flowering?

Priority should be given to complex fertilizers - for example, nitroammophoska with microelements.

In this case, 40 g of the preparation will be needed for 10 liters of water. The specified volume of liquid will be enough for 1 square meter of soil.

Special fertilizers are used in a similar way, on the label of which you can find the inscription “For fruit trees”.

Another option is potassium monophosphate, of which 15 g is needed for the same volume of water (10 l).

Organic fertilizers will also be beneficial for apple trees at this time, but remember that organic fertilizers usually contain a smaller variety of nutrients and a large amount of nitrogen.

To feed an apple orchard, you can use rotted chicken manure with water in a ratio of 1 to 20, stale manure (the appropriate ratio is 1 to 10) or ash infusion - to obtain it, you will need 1 liter of ash per 10 liters of water.
