In May, summer residents sow the seeds of many crops, but often make one common mistake.
If you make this mistake, you may not even see the shoots. Or you may be disappointed in another way: the plants will sprout, but then quickly wither away.
Many gardeners scatter seeds, water and wait for shoots to emerge. But gardeners skip one important step. After sowing, the soil must be compacted.
The correct order of actions
1. Dig up the soil and wait 3 hours for the soil to settle.
2. After planting the seeds in the soil, you must press it down with your hand.
3. Then the bed or strip with seeds can be watered.
You need to pat the seeds to let the air out. Otherwise, the planting material will go down, which will greatly reduce the chances of germination.
The seeds may be of good quality and processed, and the weather may meet all the requirements. But this one mistake can ruin everything.
This rule also applies to young trees. If air pockets remain in the ground after planting, rooting will take longer.
