The only crops in the garden that the mole cricket does not touch are, perhaps, onions and garlic, because of their pungent smell.

Therefore, gardeners who do not want their efforts to be in vain use all possible methods to combat this voracious pest.

Unfortunately, not all of them can boast of effectiveness.

For example, you shouldn’t try to dig up the passages made by the parasite and pour water into them from a hose in the hope that the mole cricket will get out.

This pest not only digs the ground well and flies, but also swims.

In addition, there is another unreliable method of fighting the mole cricket, which requires using manure.

It is assumed that the pest, together with its offspring, will climb into the bait spread throughout the area, after which all that remains is to lift the lumps of fertilizer and deal with the mole cricket.

However, it won’t work either – what’s the point of the mole cricket burying itself in manure when there are still so many tasty roots left in the ground?
