The benefits and bright taste of currants have made this berry very popular among summer residents.

This is why corresponding fruit bushes can be seen in many suburban areas.

However, growing the plant does not always proceed without problems.

Sometimes there are difficulties with the formation of fruits. It often turns out that too few berries have appeared on the bushes.

This is most likely due to a lack of nutrients in the soil.

How to fix the situation

It is clear that the crop needs to be renewed and improved by applying fertilizer. But what kind of fertilizer?

The answer is simple: during the period of formation and development of berries, the plant needs potassium-phosphorus fertilization.

The ideal option is potassium monophosphate. One tablespoon of this substance should be added to 10 liters of clean liquid.

An additive such as lemon (1 tsp) would also be helpful.

The prepared solution should be used to moisten the soil where the currants grow. Three liters of liquid should be used for each plant.

After applying such fertilizer, the plant will receive all the compounds it needs. The gardener will definitely not complain about the low yield of currants.
