You won’t have to change paint and impregnation from year to year – there are more effective ways to extend the service life of the material.

Some gardeners buy tall boxes for their plants. Other gardeners make them themselves.

They are usually made from ordinary boards, so such structures begin to rot quickly.

Therefore, when the boxes are ready, you need to take care of their durability. In this case, there are two effective ways.

First option

Wooden sides are wrapped with agrotextile, which is secured with a construction stapler or small nails.

The durable material will protect the boards from dampness and wet soil. The structure can be updated as needed or once a year.

Second option

Wooden beds are covered with siding. It is easily fixed to the sides with screws. Additionally, the places with fasteners are painted to protect them from rust, but this is not a mandatory point.

To estimate the required amount of siding, you need to sum up the area of the fence and add 5%.
