What should be the first feeding for roses: here's how to turn branches and stumps into luxurious bushes

Spring has come, and all plants, including roses, have begun to actively grow and are already in great need of feeding.

If you want to get gorgeous rose bushes from the branches and stumps that may remain after heavy pruning, they should be given a good dose of nitrogen, according to the expert of the online publication BelNovosti, scientist-agronomist, landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh .

This need is explained simply: it is nitrogen that is “responsible” for the growth of the above-ground part of the plant.

Therefore, you should not put off applying fertilizer - even if it is raining outside, run around the area in the morning and sprinkle calcium nitrate in the flower bed.

This preparation has a double effect: it not only has a beneficial effect on the formation of green mass, but also strengthens the roots due to the calcium that it contains.

One bush requires about 30-50 g. There is no need to bury it in the ground: it was not for nothing that we talked about spring rains, because thanks to moisture, the saltpeter dissolves in a few minutes.

After 10-14 days, it is worth repeating the fertilizing (here, again, it is worth focusing on the rain).

Please note: we are not talking about ammonium nitrate, since many gardeners have acidic soil on their plots, and this preparation will make it even more acidic.
