Winter garlic, if it has successfully survived the frosts and produced friendly shoots, may begin to turn yellow.

In this case, the harvest must be urgently saved, otherwise the efforts and expectations will be in vain. One simple remedy can help.

Why does garlic turn yellow?

1. This may be due to the wrong planting time – too early. In spring, the garlic will turn yellow and grow weakly.

2. It is possible that the cloves were planted close to the soil surface and could have frozen.

3. The same thing happens with recurrent spring frosts.

How to save the harvest

First of all, timely feeding helps.

To prepare one of these products, you need to dissolve 1 liter of chicken manure in 10 liters of clean and settled water. If you buy such a fertilizer, and do not use fresh bird manure, the solution can be used immediately.

If you are preparing it from homemade chicken manure, then for the same amount of water take 1/4 of a bucket of fertilizer, and leave the solution for 5-7 days.

The concentrate is diluted with water in a ratio of 1:10.

Also, from store-bought additives, you can add a solution of ammonium nitrate (1 tablespoon of the product per 10 liters of water) or urea (1 tablespoon per 10 liters of water). In addition, you can use a solution of magnesium sulfate (1 tablespoon per 10 liters of water).

After this, the garlic feathers will turn emerald green.
