You don't need a lot of store-bought fertilizers to care for indoor plants. Ingredients that almost everyone has at home will do, too. One of them is cinnamon.

Its properties are essential when growing indoor plants. How to use cinnamon for flowers?

Cinnamon is a fragrant spice. It can be added to desserts or coffee. However, it is useful not only in the kitchen. Cinnamon has antifungal and antibacterial properties, and also inhibits the development of mites and repels pests. That is why it is worth using when growing plants at home or in the garden.

When mold starts to appear in the pot, it is worth using cinnamon. All you need to do is sprinkle a little of this spice on top of the soil. You can also mix it with the top layer. Cinnamon effectively fights microbes. When there is already a lot of mold, it is better to transplant the plant into new soil. To avoid this problem from recurring, remember not to overwater the flowers and provide them with sufficient ventilation and air flow. Remember to use a small amount of cinnamon - too much cinnamon can seriously harm your plants.

Mix 3-4 teaspoons of cinnamon with a liter of water.

Mix thoroughly, cover the container and leave overnight.

Spray the plants with the strained mixture the next day.

Use the spray once a week not only on potted plants but also on plants in the garden or on the balcony. This spraying will help get rid of plant pests such as spider mites, which most often appear after overwatering.

Cinnamon works great as a rooting agent. You can water your plants with a mixture of water and a little cinnamon every couple of weeks. This will stimulate root growth and prevent mold or fungal diseases from developing.

Covering the tips of fresh cuttings will strengthen them, protect them from bacterial diseases and fungi. In addition, it will speed up the development of young roots. You can also sprinkle the spice on wounds on the stem or damage caused by cutting. Thanks to this, they will heal faster, and cinnamon will act as a disinfectant. The plant will not be attacked by microbes. However, remember that too much cinnamon can do more harm than good.
