Why do pepper leaves curl: reasons and how to help plants

Pepper seedlings have one problem, which is the curling of leaves.

This happens both from top to bottom and from bottom to top. In the second case, the seedlings need watering. The soil looks "compressed" and the planting container is light. This can be corrected by watering.

Negative factors

The leaves curl from top to bottom when organic matter has accumulated but is not being used. Under their weight, the leaves curl downwards.

There are two main reasons why this happens. The problem is in too much watering or the temperature of the content. The optimal regime for pepper seedlings is +20 … +22 °C (during the day) and +18 … +20 °C (at night).

What are these bubbles and bumps?

They can appear on the back of the leaves. To rule out the presence of pests, run your fingers over the bumps and bubbles. If there are no traces left on them, then the problem is leaf swelling. The seedlings simply cannot cope with the water that comes during watering.

Such leaves may fall off. There is no reason to panic. It is enough to simply normalize watering. As a bonus, you can use anti-stress drugs (Epin, Zircon).
