With the start of the new summer cottage season, gardeners plan their plots, determining where and what to plant.
Not only the preceding crops play a major role, but also the plants that are located nearby.
As for eggplant, in this case there is a list of plants that cannot be planted next to it. But there are options that are excellent neighbors for it.
Experienced gardeners advise making beds with beans, white cabbage, radishes, melons, pumpkins, squash, peas or beets next to eggplants.
However, it is not recommended to plant tomatoes nearby. The plants are attacked by the same pests. For a similar reason, potatoes are not planted next to eggplants.
Planting peppers is allowed, but with one caveat: there should be a distance of at least 70-80 cm between the beds.
