The spring planting period depends on weather conditions. But you can start the procedure quite early. As experts note, it is enough for the soil to warm up to 3-5 degrees, and the snow to melt completely.
It is advisable to pay attention to the lunar calendar. In this case, the chances of getting a quality harvest increase significantly. April 7-9, 17-18, as well as May 6-9, 13-15 and 17 are considered favorable.
As for the bed, it should be prepared at least 2 weeks before planting. Complex mineral fertilizer should be added. Nitroammophoska will do.
The soil must be loose.
It is advisable to pre-treat the seed material. You can soak the cloves in a solution of potassium permanganate or in warm water with the addition of a fungicide to treat the seeds.

The furrows should not be deep. It is important to remember that they should be located at a distance of 20-30 cm from each other.
The holes should be watered generously. As soon as the soil has absorbed the moisture, you can begin planting. The depth to which the cloves should be lowered should be about 2-3 cm. The seed material can be placed at a distance of 5 cm from each other.
