No summer resident can do without tomato seedlings. They have to be either grown by themselves or bought at the market.
Buy seedlings as a last resort. We will tell you what to do so that your own tomato bushes grow no worse than those sold in the spring.
For all fruit and vegetable crops, the main additives are nitrogen, potassium and phosphorus. At different stages, substances are added in different quantities and usually only after the bushes begin to wither.
Until this point, the seedlings do not need nutrients.
Nitrogen deficiency is manifested by yellowing of the lower tier leaves, as well as slower growth of the bushes.
Ammonium nitrate, urea, ammonium sulfate and other additives are used to add nitrogen.
Potassium is added if a yellow border appears on the leaves, and then the greenery begins to dry out at the edges.
Fertilizers are prepared from potassium nitrate, monophosphate or potassium sulfate, potassium sulfate and other additives.
Phosphorus is added if green leaves suddenly turn purple.
Add ammophoska, diammophoska or bone meal and simple superphosphate.
It is best to carry out this procedure in the morning so that the plant has time to consume nutrients before sunset.
All additives are added only after preliminary watering, and mixtures are prepared according to the instructions.
Fertilizer must be applied under the root so that the composition does not get on the leaves, and after a couple of hours you must not forget to loosen the soil.
