Every gardener faces two problems – weeds and pests.
As for the latter, the fight against some is less long. Sometimes one treatment is enough to forget about the problem.
But there are pests that cannot be gotten rid of even after several treatments.
For example, the mole cricket causes a lot of trouble for summer residents. The pest appears especially often in areas near forests or swamps.
Some gardeners fight the mole cricket with the help of the imperial fritillary. It is believed that the pest leaves the plot because it does not like the smell of this plant.
The aromatic method is supplemented by another folk remedy. Potential mole cricket nests are identified and filled with a solution of laundry soap (100 g per 10 l of water).
At the same time, keep a shovel or other convenient tool at hand, which can be used to cut down the pest trying to leave the nest.
Another option is special baits. For example, "Medvetoks" or "Grizzly". If a strong infestation is recorded, then 500 g per hundred square meters of land are used. To attract the mole cricket to the bait, apply a couple of drops of sunflower oil and mix.
The bait is scattered along the pest's passages: shallow holes are made, then filled with the product and sprinkled with earth.
