Everyone knows that flowers need to be replanted from time to time. This must be done if the soil has become sour, the roots have started to rot, or the pot has become too small.

Replant the flower if it has been dormant for a long time. Azaleas and camellias need to be replanted in the summer, and cacti are best replanted in the winter. Young flowers need to be replanted once a year. Choose a new pot that is 4-5 cm larger than the previous one.

You can use clay and plastic ones. Clay ones evaporate moisture well.

Plastic ones hold moisture well, but they heat up in the sun in the summer.

For indoor plants, you need to use special mixtures that can be purchased at a specialized store.

You can add sawdust, coal, sand and small stones to the substrate.

Before use, open the bag to let the soil breathe. Never use garden soil to replant flowers.

It may contain many pests and pathogens. If you choose such soil, it should be well boiled in the oven for 60 minutes at a temperature of 100 degrees.

Before you replant the plants, wash the pots well. Be sure to put drainage on the bottom. The flower needs to be well moistened to be able to get it out of the pot without effort. Inspect the roots and remove damaged and rotten ones.

Transfer the flower to a new pot and substrate. Never choose a large pot for a small flower. Do not prune or replant the flower at the same time, this can destroy the plant.
