Neighbors in summer cottages often become participants in some kind of competitions that they try not to notice.

For example, whose potatoes will sprout earlier after planting, who has more cucumbers or whose gladioli sprouted earlier. In the case of flowers, and not only, everything can be solved by cunning.

We'll tell you how to prepare flower bulbs for planting so that this happens.

In winter, the bulbs are stored in boxes and other crates, and these flowers bloom in the summer.

To ensure that the shoots appear earlier, and therefore flowering as well, the bulbs need to be awakened before planting.

Preparation begins at the end of the first month of spring. Here's how to do it.

First, at the end of March you need to bring the bulbs into a warm room.

Secondly, after they have warmed up thoroughly, you need to clean them of scales, removing everything unnecessary from the sprout.

Thirdly, you need to remove all damaged and blackened areas, and treat the cut areas with brilliant green or potassium permanganate.

That's all. Place the bulbs in a clean box and store them in a room with room temperature until the end of April.

Don't forget to place them on a damp cloth two weeks before planting. After such preparation, the seedlings will appear in the flowerbed faster.
