Where unripe compost comes in handy: here are the plants that will like the fertilizer

Sometimes summer residents have at their disposal compost that has not fully decomposed.

The question arises as to where this fertilizer can be used. For example, there is a temptation to feed pepper or tomato seedlings with it.

However, experienced gardeners do not recommend fertilizing tomatoes and peppers with unripe compost. It is better to feed these plants with rotted organic matter - compost or manure.

The danger of unripe fertilizer is that it may contain various pathogens. If the gardener is lucky and the disease bypasses the beds, there is a risk that the plants will "grow fat".

Tomatoes and peppers will grow a lot of green mass, but the fruits will be counted on the fingers. Therefore, it is better to keep not fully rotted compost away from these plants.

This compost can be added to trenches, planting holes for cucumbers, pumpkins, squash. In this case, the plants will develop perfectly.
