It would seem that growing parsley is not a difficult task.

However, even in such a simple process, according to the expert of the online publication BelNovosti, scientist-agronomist, landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh, there are some subtleties.

First, do not forget that this crop is not afraid of cold, this means that for the seeds to germinate, an air temperature of +2 degrees is enough. Adult plants can withstand temperatures up to 8-9 degrees with a minus sign.

Secondly, although parsley is a moisture-loving plant, heavy soil with excessive moisture is absolutely not suitable for it - otherwise, parsley will “delight” you with yellow leaves.

In turn, a lack of moisture leads to the roots and leaves becoming tougher.

Thirdly: the area for growing parsley should not be in the shade, otherwise the growth and development of the plant will stop, and the root crops will be small.

Fourthly: the best option for growing this crop is loose, permeable soil with an average amount of nutrients, and the optimal predecessors for parsley are beets, cucumbers, potatoes or zucchini.

And fifthly, take good care of the planting beds – they should be dug to a depth of 40 cm and all the weeds found here should be removed. But fresh organic matter should be avoided, as it provokes the branching of roots.
