Ammonia solution is sold in any drugstore. It is combined with water in proportions depending on what goals need to be pursued.
What does ammonia solution do to onions?
First of all, the product will rid onion beds of such a pest as the onion fly and protect them from wireworms.
How to properly dilute the solution and treat the beds
To make it useful, you can choose from several options:
- for 5 liters of water 30 ml of ammonia, the solution is used for moisturizing in the evening;
- for 5 liters of water, 2.5 ml of ammonia and a little salt, mix thoroughly and use for watering plants - useful for onions and carrots;
- for 5 liters of water 2.5 ml of boric acid, 1-1.5 drops of iodine, 10 ml of ammonia, combine the ingredients and water the onion beds.
