The method may seem labor-intensive, but it is very interesting and cheap.

It is not recommended to take fruit seeds that were purchased in stores.

There are two reasons for this.

The first is that such fruits were grown in different conditions, and to obtain a harvest in our latitudes, as experienced gardeners note, it is better to give preference to those varieties that can withstand frost.

In addition, fruits are removed from the store before they reach biological maturity so that they can maintain their marketable appearance for as long as possible.

As a result, the seeds will not have time to ripen, which means that the chances of success are reduced.

There are other rules to remember.

The seeds themselves should not have cracks or traces of pests. It is important to wash and dry the seeds, and then carefully crack them, the planting material should remain whole.

Then the kernel should be kept in warm water for a day, it should swell.

After this, you can transplant the seed into the soil. The pot should have drainage holes.

The core can be deepened by one centimeter.

Once these manipulations are completed, the container should be covered with film. It should be opened every day to remove condensation, ventilate the soil and prevent mold.

When the shoots appear, the film should be removed and the pot should be placed in a place with good lighting. It is important to remember about regular watering.

After three months, you can transplant the seedling into open ground. May - early June are ideal for this.
