What to throw at the bottom of the hole when planting tomatoes: a bountiful harvest is guaranteed

When planting tomatoes, many summer residents always put some organic fertilizer in the hole.

For example, eggshells, onion peels or unburned wood residue.

However, there is another interesting “additive”, the benefits of which some gardeners do not even know about.

We are talking about one weed that, when used correctly, turns into a source of nutrients.

What to use when planting tomatoes

It is desirable that there be a handful of nettles at the bottom of the hole.

It would seem that this plant can only harm the garden crop, especially its root system.

In fact, nettle leaves can easily turn into excellent fertilizer. However, to do this, you need to follow one important rule.

So, the nettle lying at the bottom of the hole should be covered with a centimeter-thick layer of soil.

If this condition is met, the roots of the garden crop will simply not “interact” with the nettle leaves at first.

And later the nettle will decompose. The weed will no longer pose any danger to the tomatoes.

On the contrary, nettle will become a source of nitrogen component important for tomatoes. In addition, iron will appear in the soil, as well as other useful microelements and compounds.

The garden crop will receive all the necessary conditions for full development and will be less likely to “get sick”.
