How to grow healthy tomato seedlings? This question becomes relevant for many gardeners already in February.

Not everyone knows how to do it right, what conditions are needed for tomato seedlings to grow strong and healthy.

Properly selected fertilizers and timely watering will help you grow plump seedlings.

How to feed tomatoes

Not everyone is ready to use chemical fertilizers and folk remedies come to the rescue.

Natural fertilizers are in no way inferior to store-bought products, and to some extent are even much more useful and safer for both the plants themselves and the soil.

Potato broth

The seedlings will develop well if you feed them with potato broth once every 7 days.

The potatoes need to be prepared, covered with water, put on the stove and boiled whole or just the peelings. In this case, spices and salt are not added to the pan.

The liquid in which the potatoes are boiled can be drained and cooled after 20 minutes. This type of feeding is needed for root growth. Before use, the solution is diluted with clean water 1 to 1.

Onion peel

Another natural fertilizer that tomatoes will love. Onion peel will protect seedlings from diseases and will repel dangerous insects.

To prepare the decoction, just take 1 cup of husk and pour 2 cups of water. Bring the mixture to a boil and let it brew for 2 days.

Before use, the solution must be filtered and diluted in 10 glasses of water.

Water the seedlings in the morning once a week. If the plants are sick or attacked by pests, you can add a little liquid soap to the decoction and spray the leaves and trunk of the tomatoes.
