It is impossible to achieve the maximum strawberry harvest if you do not follow agricultural practices.

There is a minimum set of rules that can help the plant recover after a difficult winter. Here is what you must do before the strawberry blooms.

First processing of strawberries

As soon as the snow and melt waters melt, you can begin processing. At this stage, it is necessary to inspect the plants. Perhaps some bushes will have to be replanted and others replaced. At the same time, all damaged leaves and shoots are removed.

Depending on the weather, the inspection should be carried out before the end of March, but no later than the beginning of April.

At the same time, the beds are cleaned and old mulch is removed.

When everything is done, the strawberries are sprayed with a solution of copper sulfate or 1% Bordeaux mixture.

First feeding of strawberries

The first feeding is done when the leaves start to grow. At this time, the emphasis is on nitrogen or complex feeding.

Alternatively, you can use a mixture of 2 cups of mullein, 1 tbsp. ammonium sulfate in 10 liters of water. Consumption is 1 liter per bush.

You can also prepare a solution of 1 tbsp. nitroammophoska per 10 liters of water (consumption 0.5 liters).

Mix 1 liter of chicken manure (mullein) per 10 liters of water, leave for 3 days and water the strawberries at a rate of 0.5 liters per bush.

The next feeding is carried out when the first buds are formed.
