Not only beginners in gardening, but also experienced plant growers sometimes face the problem when they fail to wait for shoots to emerge from the planted seeds.

An expert of the online publication Belnovosti, agronomist, and landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh explained why such a situation might arise.

First, it is worth considering the time it takes for seedlings to emerge from seeds. Naturally, it will be different for all crops.

In addition, producers, especially imported ones, often overdry the seeds. For this reason, they fall into a deep hibernation, from which they cannot emerge for a long time.

Secondly, you shouldn't expect seedlings to appear if the soil for planting seedlings is of poor quality. It is also difficult for seedlings to break through when the soil is too dense.

Thirdly, inadequate watering is often the cause of seed failure.

Thus, in case of constant overwatering, the soil will become heavier. In addition, there will be no room for oxygen, in the absence of which the seeds will suffocate.

Fourthly, do not forget that the seeds of almost all crops grown by seedlings are heat-loving. In this regard, immediately after sowing, containers with future seedlings should be placed in a warm place.

Finally, fifthly, remember that you cannot treat dry seeds, as this can damage the embryo. First, the seed material should be soaked, and only then treated.
