Spring is a responsible time for both the gardener and fruit crops. At this time, you need to manage to do a lot: trim, process and after all this, feed the trees.
Apple trees, despite their docile nature, also need additional feeding, which should be at least four times during the season.
The most important is spring feeding, which is planned for the period from the beginning of March to the first ten days of April.
It is carried out during the period when the first leaves appear on the trees. At this time, nitrogen-containing fertilizers are introduced into the trunk circle.
Mainly urea (500-600 g), nitroammophoska and ammonium nitrate (30-40 g), humus (up to 5 buckets) are used.
Fertilizers are applied after the main tree care work and soil loosening have been completed.
The next feeding should be planned for the flowering period.
Nutrient solutions are used.
1. Mix 100 grams of superphosphate, 60-70 grams of potassium sulfate and dissolve in 10 liters of water.
2. Dissolve 1.5-2 liters of chicken manure in 10 liters of water.
3. Dissolve 1/2 bucket of liquid manure in 10 liters of clean water.
4. Dilute 250-300 grams of urea in 10 liters of water.
Liquid nutrient mixtures are added to the tree trunk circle (up to 4 buckets of mixture per adult tree). If the spring is rainy, the fertilizer components can be added to the soil in dry form.
