As is known, manure is a valuable organic fertilizer.

According to the expert of the online publication Belnovosti, scientist-agronomist, landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh , the composition of such fertilizer includes nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium and other substances that are beneficial to plants.

However, experienced gardeners recommend not to add manure to the garden when spring comes – otherwise, it can only harm the crops.

Here are the reasons why you should make such a decision.

1. Fresh fertilizer burns the root system, because the temperature of such fertilizer is about 60-80 degrees.

2. In addition, fresh manure can make the soil more acidic, since its predominant components are nitrogen and potassium.

3. Fresh manure may contain weed seeds that subsequently germinate in the garden beds.

There is a way out - use humus or semi-rotted manure, which will no longer cause damage to plant roots. Seeds, like other plant residues, in rotted manure are not capable of causing damage to the beds.
