Spider mites and strawberry mites are a scourge familiar to every summer resident.

According to the expert of the online publication Belnovosti, scientist-agronomist, landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh , both of these parasites can settle in strawberry beds.

Although it is quite difficult to notice tiny pests, signs such as curling leaves or dry spots on the surface of leaf blades will help in detecting insects.

They feed on the juice that they suck from the leaves, after which the leaf blades change shape and the process of photosynthesis is disrupted.

Such transformations cannot but have a negative impact on the harvest.

Throughout the season, ticks can produce up to 10 generations.

To remove ticks, experienced gardeners have long used a preparation such as Fitoverm. One treatment is not enough - you will need to carry out three at once with an interval of 7-10 days.

But after the fruiting period has ended, it would not hurt to treat the strawberry plantations with a product called “Apollo”, which effectively fights both adult individuals and the eggs they lay.
