Dill is a popular and healthy herb.
Depending on the season, the taste of dill can vary: from juicy and sweet to less aromatic and bitter.
Dill will delight you with a large harvest of lush greenery until autumn, if you know the features of growing this crop.
Dill seeds can have difficulty germinating due to their high essential oil content. You won't be able to get a large harvest of lush dill if you grow it in acidic soil.
It is better to process fresh dill seeds before sowing. To do this, prepare a small bag, put the seeds in it, soak. You will need water of 30-35 degrees, which should be changed within 3 days as it cools.
Step two: remove the seeds from the bags, cover with a damp cloth and place in a warm, dark place for 3-4 days to germinate. Dry the seeds a little for 30 minutes before sowing.
The trick to sowing dill is to sow it in clumps, not in rows, as is customary.
What does this mean? Pour the seeds into one hole, bury them and water them. Place the bed on a well-lit side of the plot.
With proper care and this planting method, dill will grow lush, incredibly aromatic and juicy.
