There are several ways to sow seeds. Not only for seedlings and in open ground, but also using various tricks that reduce the time it takes for seedlings to emerge.
More and more often, summer residents try a new method of planting cucumbers - in boiling water. They say that in this case they sprout on the 2nd day.
Let's figure out what is needed for this.
First, you need to prepare the ground.
Everything is simple here. If you use a substrate, then you simply pour it into a prepared container. Then the soil is watered with boiling water (but not boiling water), the seeds are placed in the ground on the edge and after a couple of minutes they are lightly deepened, sprinkled with soil and covered with film.
Secondly, the container is then removed to a warm place, and then the seeds are guaranteed to sprout on the 2nd day.
But it is important not to suffocate the seeds. Therefore, as soon as the shoots appear, the film is removed and the container is placed in a sunny place.
Thirdly, you can plant seeds in a garden bed in the same way.
The technology is practically no different from sowing seeds for seedlings in a container. The only difference is that more boiling water will be required: 5 liters per 1 square meter of soil.
The seeds are planted in prepared shallow furrows, previously poured with boiling water.
The bed can be covered with film or agrofibre. After the shoots appear, the cover is removed.
