There are no trifles in farming, and it is important to take into account everything - from the composition of the soil to the weather. As for growing seedlings, there is no less trouble here.

Any such trifle can have a disastrous effect on the result. For example, if you water the seedlings with water that is not the most suitable for this. We will tell you about the subtleties.

Subtleties of watering

At different stages, gardeners use a variety of devices to irrigate the shoots. Moreover, a watering can, even with the longest and thinnest spout, is used last. At the early stages, the shoots are watered by some with a syringe, and some with a teaspoon.

What to consider

1. During the formation of cotyledons, seedlings are susceptible to infection with black leg - an infectious disease. It is not enough to disinfect the soil - it is important to follow the schedule and norm of watering. The golden rule is - it is better to under-water than to over-water.

2. Pour water only on the soil. If moisture gets on the immature sprouts, they can fall to the ground. It is better to use a syringe, pipettes or watering from a spoon, but only so that the water gets into the soil, under the root.

What water to use for watering

1. Tap water is filtered or left to settle for at least a day. It should warm up to room temperature, and boiled water is not suitable.

2. The best option is melted or rain water, which can be obtained not only from snow, but also by freezing tap water. Then it should completely melt and warm up.

3. If the soil is alkaline, you will have to water some crops with acidified water. In this case, citric acid or vinegar is used (1 g per 10 l).

4. An excellent solution is to water the seedlings with silicon water. To do this, put stones in the water and leave for 2-3 days.

5. In some cases, a decoction of onion peel (1 glass per 1.5 liters of water), iodine solution (1-2 drops per 3-4 liters of water) or a milk solution (1 liter of milk per 10 liters of water) are used to strengthen the seedlings.
