Orchids are not considered to be as prone to reproduction as any other flower. However, there are ways to grow several plants without spending much time and effort.

If you have 2 months of free time to wait, then keep this method.

How to propagate orchids

1. Cut off the wilted flower and cut the flower stalk into 7-8 cm pieces, but in such a way that a bud remains on each.

2. Treat bacteria and fungus using ginger root juice – the rhizome can be passed through a garlic press or a meat grinder to obtain the required amount of juice.

3. Let the branches dry out, and then seal both ends of the workpiece with wax - this way they will not start to rot or get sick.

4. Prepare the substrate. For this you will need moss and a container with a lid (and holes for drainage).

5. The moistened moss should be placed in a container, orchid branches should be placed on top of it, lightly sprinkled with water and covered with a lid.

After this, once every 7 days you need to water the moss and orchid branches.

In about 3 weeks the buds will begin to sprout.

By continuing care, in just 2 months you can get healthy orchid shoots with strong roots from one cut flower stalk.
