At the stage of growing seedlings, summer residents repeat the same mistake year after year, due to which the harvest is not pleasing.

However, many of them have no idea what the problem really is. Some blame the soil, while others blame the weather or pests.

From early spring, gardeners take care of young shoots: water, loosen the soil, feed. In the process, they observe how many true leaves the seedlings have released.

It is during this period that the possibility of making a mistake arises. Experienced gardeners do not advise overgrowing seedlings.

According to them, there is no need to wait for 3-5 true leaves. The secret is that cucumber seedlings are one of the most delicate, so the longer they are not transplanted into open ground, the more they will take root.

The seedlings can be moved during the period when the risk of returning cold weather is minimal. This period falls approximately in mid- to late May.

This is the difference between cucumbers and tomatoes. The latter can be transplanted even during flowering.
