One of the first preparations that vegetable growers use at the beginning of the seedling and sowing season is potassium permanganate.

An expert of the online publication Belnovosti, agronomist, and landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh spoke about what potassium permanganate can be useful for.

Thus, this product has proven itself to be an effective preparation that can be used to disinfect seed material.

A solution of potassium permanganate is suitable for seeds without a shell, sets, etc.

Pelleted seeds, that is, those that have a shell, should not be processed.

To destroy fungal spores, you should prepare a bright, but not dark, solution of potassium permanganate - for 100 ml of hot water you will need 1 g of potassium permanganate (this is less than half a teaspoon).

Place the seeds in a pink liquid and leave them there, but not longer than 7 hours.

All that remains is to rinse the seed material under warm running water for 5 minutes, and the procedure can be considered complete.
