All gardeners have their own list of plants that, in their opinion, are suitable for decorating loggias and balconies.

An expert of the online publication Belnovosti, agronomist, landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh suggests getting acquainted with the “classic” flower options that can certainly be found in each of these lists.

These included such houseplants as begonias, cyclamens and gloxinia.

Although they can be sown at any time of year, they can be grown with minimal effort by planting the seeds in the ground at the end of January.

At this time, the seedlings do not need lighting, they will not suffer from extreme heat, and flowering will occur in early July.

Since the seeds of begonia and gloxinia are very small, they must be planted in separate peat tablets.

To prevent the seeds from flying out of the substrate as a result of watering, use a syringe to moisten the soil.

Please note that the flowers sprout unevenly. This process can take from 10 days to 1.5 months.

As for cyclamen, on the contrary, it has seeds that are larger in size than many other flowers.

To ensure that cyclamens sprout together, they should be scarified - alternately dipped in hot water at 70 degrees for 2 seconds and then in cold water (from the refrigerator).

The soil for this flower should be very loose with a lot of sand. Until the shoots appear above the ground, the containers with seeds should be left in a dark place.
