Gardeners are waging an uncompromising battle against ants on their plots.

Among the means that can be used against insects that carry dangerous aphids, strong aromas have proven themselves to be effective.

How to get rid of ants in the garden

Insects react sharply to smells. If you regularly place anise leaves, sawdust mixed with grated garlic around ants' shelters, the uninvited guests will quickly disappear.

In open areas, ants are controlled using parsley, wormwood, tomato leaves, turpentine, charcoal, vegetable oil, tobacco ash, elderberry, as well as other plants and improvised means that have a strong odor.

You can place bricks or stones near the anthills and pour an infusion of manure and herbs over them, and after a few days, pick up these objects and pour boiling water over the ants that have gathered there, filling the passages into the anthill with hot water.

Places where ants gather are watered several times with a mixture of 5 liters of water, 200 g of laundry soap, 1 tbsp. of carbolic acid and 5 tbsp. of kerosene.

Simple baits can be placed around the anthill - sponges soaked in a sugar solution, which can then be dipped in boiling water.
