Hippeastrum will bloom profusely if you give it a little positive “shake-up”.

Hippeastrum's homeland is South America. It was first brought to Europe in the 16th century and has been popular with gardeners ever since.

The flower cannot be called picky, but there are certain requirements. The plant loves warmth.

The active flowering period is from August to September. There are several tricks to ensure that during this period the “green pet” will definitely delight you with bright flowers.

Before planting, the bulb is placed in warm water for 3 hours. Already three weeks after planting, the hippeastrum will produce its first flowers.

In July, remove all leaf blades and do not water for a month. After 30 days, the soil is again regularly moistened and complex fertilizer is added. At the end of August, the plant will delight you with lush flowering.

After the hippeastrum has finished flowering, a cool and dark place is found for the "green pet". It remains there until the end of January, after which it is returned to the windowsill. Regular watering is established, complex fertilizing is applied, and by March there will be new flowering.
