Thoughtful summer residents begin preparing for the new season soon after the New Year holidays.

In January and February, gardeners prepare seedlings of plants that take a long time to germinate.

Early cabbage is not touched until spring, but late cabbage is planted in February.

The same goes for eggplants and celery. These crops are slow to sprout, so it's best to plant them early.

First of all, this concerns celery, whose vegetation period lasts 160 days. Therefore, it is quite difficult to grow it directly in open ground.

Heat-loving tomatoes are prepared from the end of January. They are placed on the sunniest window. When the time comes for planting in open ground, the tomatoes will be stronger and ready for stable fruiting.

Bell peppers are traditionally planted in February. But before planting, you should familiarize yourself in more detail with the characteristics of the selected variety.

Many summer residents like to grow not only vegetables, but also berry crops. Thus, you can plant strawberries for seedlings from February to April. Early planting is good because the first harvest can be obtained already in the summer.
