Spider mites are equally dangerous for indoor, garden and vegetable plants.

Where it comes from in the apartment is a separate question. The pest can migrate from a purchased flower or soil for seedlings. This is also important, otherwise the fight can drag on for a long time.

How to get rid of spider mites in your apartment.

"Fitoverm"

The first thing that may come to mind is a biological preparation that is harmless to plants. It can be used against insect pests that feed on juice or leaves. To treat plants, a solution is prepared for spraying flowers (2 ml per 1 liter of water). The treatment is carried out once every 7-10 days, repeating 4 times. Despite the specific smell, Fitoverm will not cause harm to human health and animals.

Laundry soap

The easiest option is to take a clean damp sponge, lather it with laundry soap and treat the leaves. If there are a lot of leaves and they are small, it is better to prepare a solution and spray the plant from a spray bottle. After 3-4 hours, the soap solution should be washed off. Treated plants are covered with a plastic bag for 24 hours so that the solution destroys the pests.

Alcohol

Use medical alcohol, which you need to wet a cotton pad with and treat the leaves on both sides. It can only be used for thick leaves. If you are not sure, then before treatment you need to test how the plant reacts to alcohol.

Lastly, you can buy phytoseiulus or amblyseius mites in gardening stores. They are naturally enemies of spider mites and can therefore destroy the pest and its offspring.
