The Ministry of Economy of Belarus predicts that next year the growth rate of national GDP will be higher than the world average.
In digital terms, economic growth is expected to be around 4.1 percent.
Deputy Minister of Economy Elena Boligatova spoke about this on the Belarus 1 TV channel.
According to the information she voiced, a “tight task” has been set for 2025 regarding GDP growth – 4.1%.
This value is higher than the global average, but we are obliged to grow at this rate, the specialist said.
She argued like this: “whatever the economy earns can be spent.”
The ministry, the official indicated, is approaching this issue “carefully.”
For example, in terms of infrastructure, “verified approaches” are used; when forming the corresponding plan, all the needs of Belarus are taken into account.
And the choice of specific infrastructure projects is made based on the possibilities that the economy can afford at this stage, the deputy minister emphasized.
She also named the target inflation rate in the country for next year – no more than five percent.
This level is optimal for the Belarusian economy today, Boligatova noted.
She said that the level she named is comfortable for the republic.
This level allows for income growth with support from the revenue side of the state budget and balanced internal development, the specialist explained.
